Hepatitis is the inflammation of the liver. Toxins, certain drugs, some diseases, heavy alcohol use, and bacterial and viral infections can all cause hepatitis.1.4 Million people were infected with hepatitis A and over 1 Million people actually die from disease caused by hepatitis B & C.

How does the virus spread?

Hepatitis A spreads through ingestion of contaminated food and drinks or by direct contact with an infected person. Hepatitis B &  C spread through infected blood or body fluids.

Symptoms:

  • Fever
  • Fatigue
  • Loss of appetite
  • Nausea
  • Abdominal pain
  • Jaundice
  • Joint pain

However, people with Hepatitis B often have no symthomps. Thus, it is best to go for regular screening and get yourself vaccinated against hepatitis.
